Pros

Team members were great! Helpful and always available for questions

Cons

Corporate pressure cooker. Its a total numbers game. Upper management is yielding the numbers stick to procure more business. Hotels need over hauls, hotel is waining in staffing, hotel is waining In cleanliness and most of the properties I dealt with had exhaustion written all over them from team members to band aided hotels. The process to expand on meaningful business relationships to secure more “in depth” repeat business to stay within the hotels is tough. Competition is fierce in the hospitality business and with outdated and dirty properties, maintaining those long term relationships in a b2b world is essential. Internally…. WAY TO MANY PROCESSES! Streamline your processes and put more of a human inter active upon them. Lean in to your sales and hotel level team members to guide with better processes. Busy work at nauseam. Upper management and the “bean counters” need to listen to front end teams

Pros

Lots of downtime and not a lot of micro management... because they lack management

Cons

There is no deposit for staying at this hotel so we get the worst of the worst guests. Management is horrible, I've had better managers at Wendy's. They are either creeps or very inexperienced or are never around. Most of these hotels are roach and bed bug infested and you will see them. They like to oversell their rooms so good luck on the weekends when people are yelling at you because the room they reserved is not available.

Pros

Long lasting relationships with other employees built on disdain for the company

Cons

Company runs simply by taking advantage of employees and leading by fear. Threats of being terminated are around every corner. Salaried employees are forced to work upwards of 24+ hour shifts with absolutely no breaks and no appreciation. Corners are cut to avoid spending money, yet management is still expected to get proper scores… “Sorry you didn’t have toilet paper, but will you give us 10s on the survey?” Perfect example of this companies expectations: C19, no masks available anywhere but mandated, corporate is all working from home while GMs are running properties around the clock by themselves with teams down with Cvid and all new policies and sanitation protocols. Corporate sends out a email saying they have a brilliant idea for managers to make masks for their teams 😂… Rather than all of the employees working from home who have time to send us “encouraging videos” with their families hanging out in the backgrounds…. This may sound wild (and it is) but it’s also 100% factual. Retaliation is real and will come from District Managers, Regional Managers, Vice Presidents, and HR. Protect yourself at all costs. Document everything… Pay is for the pretty and young. If you’re a pretty woman who will wear pumps daily, you have opportunities (or at least favoritism). Men get hired as GMs to fill quotas of a diverse workplace. Corporate is NOT diverse. Check out your leaders, they all have the exact same backgrounds. I bet even most of your upper management.. Leaving this company was the best decision I could’ve ever made… After years of mental abuse, depression, utter exhaustion, and upper management still claiming we should be doing more, I am finally on a road of healing.
