Pros

Fast to promote, flexible hours, good benefits, 401k plan available after 6 months of employment, plenty of vacation time and personal days

Cons

Low pay, can only be promoted so far, nights, weekends, and holidays are mandatory, long shifts with no overtime pay they just adjust your schedule

Pros

A good entry level brand for someone looking to get into hospitality.

Cons

Top company leaders, including President, Vice Presidents, and even Human Resources, do not care about unfair AND illegal treatment dished out on the front line by Regional Directors.

Pros

There are some really, really, nice, good people that work for this company

Cons

Change starts at the top. Unfortunately, over the past year...give or take, the top has created a culture of fear and mistrust. It's ruining what made Extended Stay Hotels a great and worth while place to work. Because of this, a lot of quality people have left. The company is also financially strapped, resulting in properties not getting what they need to be properly kept up, while at the same time pushing rates way up. It's true the career growth is good, but that's only because turnover is so high. Also, wages are gradually being reduced by creating new lower level positions that are eventually promoted to lower earning levels than what the new position originally paid.
