Pros
Pay is great at 10.25 with no experience, and it can be a really chill place when not too busy. Sometimes you will get tips from guests, so that's cool too. Night shifts are generally slow and it's just you there, no manager, so if there's time and all your work is done you can read, do homework, eat whatever. Great office experience and if you hold this position it looks awesome on a resume for students.
Cons
This may only be my location, however the biggest problem for me was that we were understaffed and I felt forced to cover many of the shifts and they did not honor my schedule requests when I began school, saying that everyone had to work and there were not enough people. Also, my team lead abused their power and would have some employees clock her in when she was not at work. As far as the work it's pretty easy but you get in big trouble if you are not careful, and once you get on management's bad side they don't grant you vacation requests and you get the worst hours. A lot of staff quit, and we were always short on housekeepers leading to many guest complaints which front desk had to handle. I was warned about management from a coworker while I was trained but I didn't believe her till now. I ended up quitting and taking another job because I was getting fed up with the team lead and the crazy hours. Disappointing because I always covered shifts and worked very hard from the beginning.
