Pros

I know the definition of initiative....After all they roll out a new one Every Day! They have started to give annual reviews and raises again.

Cons

The new regime is trying to 'prove' themselves at all costs. It's the usual corporate mantra of do more work for less pay. Managers are expected to run all departments of hotel, do the job of a full-time sales person all while working the front desk 40 hours per week. Raises are 0 to 2.5%

Pros

Good for a first job, because then you don't have anything to compare it to

Cons

Shady guests, druggies stay there, pedophiles live there, saw prostitutes going in and out. There was no Security at the property I worked at. I couldn't even make it 3 months, I hated it so much. I made $9.50 as a front desk agent to deal with answering phone calls, making reservations, checking guests in, making the schedules for housekeepers, taking care of the breakfast station; restocking it constantly with more coffee, oranges, apples, oatmeal, etc, Having to still answer phones while on break, and not getting overtime pay, my manager would give me additional hours on the next paycheck. Oh, and I was part-time, but worked 40 hours. Worst mistake working there.
