Hire & Fire policy is still going strong
Pros
Nice colleagues. Extensive training period. No hard targets (which also means no commission).
Cons
Management in the European branch have absolutely no autonomy: all major decisions are being made in the US by management that doesn't really understand that company cultures in the US and Europe are very, very different. There is no communication between management and employees. No figures are ever being shared with employees. No OR. The salaries are in the low-end of the spectrum, considering how specialized the functions are. After the last firing round in the first 3 months of 2017 where 1/3 of the employees (people without a permanent contract) got fired without any explanation the remaining employees have been left severely over-worked and utterly demotivated.
