- [ ] Hired in at less than what everyone else was being hired in at so the management could stay under budget to get bonus
- [ ] Working full time hours as a part time associate so upper management didn’t go over on payroll hours (have seen this happen with more associates than just myself)
- [ ] Always seems to be understaffed
- [ ] Working open to close (830-730) with no lunch break because were so short staffed it was physically impossible to get off of the floor. Sometimes it was almost impossible to even be able to step away to use the restroom
- [ ] Being expected to step into new positions with minimal to no training
- [ ] Took away commission bumps for associates and gave us a taxed bonus instead (bonus is no where close to what would have been made with the commission bump)
- [ ] Gave management 6 months notice about being be gone for almost 4 weeks to get married and go on my honeymoon, was given an eye roll and a “that’s going to be great for business” as a response
- [ ] Upper management never seem to be in the store so virtually everything falls on other staff members
- [ ] Getting in trouble for building friendships with employees outside of the workplace
- [ ] Upper management says they want staff to have a good work/home life balance, but then deny days off or say “figure it out” when staff is unavailable to work
- [ ] Work hard for little pay and very minuscule pay raises annually
- [ ] When requesting days off, upper management will dig for every ounce of personal information they can to justify staff having the day off
- [ ] Upper management can come in with non-natural colored hair, but other staff were made to dye their hair back to a natural color before being able to start
- [ ] Approve transfers without any consent of the employee, with no additional compensation for extra drive time
- [ ] Being told days requested off probably won’t be approved when they’ve been put into the system for well over a month
- [ ] Will use needing to leave a little early to attend a funeral as a reason to give the associate a write up
