Pros

FDM gave me my start in the IT Industry back in 1998, when we were still called Mounties and the training centre was St Leonards near Hastings. They took me on, gave me their course in VB5, Oracle, Office 97, and SQL Server 6.5, then sent me out to Luxembourg with 5 other mounties to work for State Street Bank. This led to me being bought out of my contract by State Street in Dec 1999, and having a good 9 years working for them until 2008. I am grateful for the opportunities and the doors that they opened up for me. Now I am working at a retail bank in London...

Cons

low starting salary, tough time waiting for a contract. The only genuine gripes I had at the time were the quality of the training, but the training the give now is vastly superior and more organized, and should really bring valuable opportunities to new graduates.

Pros

-Near guarantee of a job at the end of your training. In life, the only thing that is guaranteed is change; therefore the high prospects of receiving a job with a selection of the countries elite corporations at the end of your training is a bonus. -Short term sacrifice is a long term gain - yes the salary isn't the greatest or at the expected industry level, but the opportunities received pave the way for a successful and fruitful career! All you really need to do is get your foot in the door, excel and what you do and the rest will come.. -Qualifications and accreditations put you on a platform whereby you can at least attempt to compete with others in the industry

Cons

-Greater communication needed amongst Consultants -Could potenitally provide sustained training/ enhance and further develop qualifications and skills whilst on client site

Pros

FDM is ideal for you if: You don't have a lot of work experiences and you want to get in the IT industry and start working for big names immediately. You want to work in foreign countries but does not have good connections or resources to setup interviews for yourself. You want to increase your skill sets and work experiences at a rapid rate.

Cons

FDM won't suit you if: You are not geographical flexible and are unwilling to relocate. You are an experienced person who is already earning higher than average wages. You read too much reviews online and hate FDM from the beginning. To me, people whine just because they need to pay compensation to leave the contract, and they want to jump between jobs on a regular basis to gain better pay quickly.
