Pros

I liked the 8 week courses to make sure you are prepared to work with big companies you may get picked for. The interview process can be draining. But once/if you get picked, you'll spend all of your time with the company you contract with. They don't pay you the full salary amount at first. During the first 8 weeks of training and until you get a contract you get paid hourly. Then when you get a contract, they split the salary range up and give you more over 6-8 months. For ex: You make 50k for a 2 year contract, they'll start you out with about 45,000 and then 8 months later give you a raise up until you reach year 2 and 50k.

Cons

You can get laid off from your onsite contracts. If you are, FDM classifies you as "beached". You still get salary pay but they put more pressure on you to land another contract or they will terminate you especially if you were already close to your 2 year contract ending.

Pros

They train you on what you need to know and have account managers who bring you, potential clients, to work for.

Cons

The training is rushed, it's like drinking from a firehose. They have you under contract or own you for 2 years and if you break the contract you are liable for damages up to $15,000 USD. Its churn and burn place, they were having trouble placing consultants but still bringing on new hires.

Pros

FDM provides opportunities to very quickly pick up valuable skills and gets your foot in the doors of large or up-and-coming companies.

Cons

Training is very fast-paced and can leave you behind if you are not committed. What you learn may also not be directly relevant to the jobs you are applying for.
