Pros

Beautiful location, good pay, decent benefits, most people were great to work with

Cons

Unfortunately worked with/for the biggest micro-managing person there. People walked on eggshells around the exec and communication style was horrible at best.

Respect is at the heart of the culture we live at FHLBank Chicago. From our employee resource groups to our mission-oriented work for members and their communities, we believe there is so much to love about working at FHLBank Chicago. However, we understand that not everyone has the same experience, and we are always looking for ways to improve how we work together. We take great pride in our award-winning benefits, culture, and investment in many areas for career growth that include employee-led training, DEI learning opportunities, team and bank-wide goals, and professional development. We engage in a comprehensive performance management review process that can include evaluation and feedback from peers and managers. And a significant number of our people leaders have also participated in a formal 360-degree feedback session conducted by a third party.
