Pros

I don't have any pros

Cons

MPF Admin manager was a pain to work for. She would never admit her own faults, would constantly micro-manage for no absolute reason, and gaslit me into thinking I didn't know how to operate PowerPoint, when in fact, I knew exactly what I was doing and even taught her how to do something the correct way, and still did not get a thank you. She would give me assignments with little to no instructions, and when I asked for assistance, it was essentially, "figure it out on your own" or "this should already be expected of you." When I did figure things out, there was always a problem with how I went about it, because it wasn't her way. It always seemed like any assignment I did, it was never correct, and for some reason, she would have to spend hours correcting my mistakes. I could understand if we were creating difficult formulas in excel, but she would literally have a complete meltdown and reassure me that I didn't know what I was doing, if the spaces on a PowerPoint title weren't consistent, and I mean even by 1 space off. Needless to say, I didn't feel welcome by her and I always felt she didn't want me there and was waiting for an opportunity to fire me.

We are disappointed to hear that you had a challenging experience with a manager. While there are a variety of management styles, communication is essential to finding the right balance and we encourage employees to address project task and work style challenges through direct communication with their manager or consultations with an HR Business Partner. We support all employees for a respectful culture where our talented staff at all levels can support our organization, our members and their communities.

Pros

The Bank has focused on creating an engaged working culture and it shows. I thoroughly enjoy the people I work with and the environment I work in. The benefits package is excellent. Pension, 401k match, and substantial bonuses make it a very attractive place to work. There is also a lot of opportunity to move around in the Bank. They promote hiring internally.

Cons

Base pay could be higher. The pay for my position is average I would say, but I know there are other places that would pay more. The benefits package helps make up for this though.
