      Struggling to be a Software Company

      Pros

      FICO knows finance and scoring like no one else. Many employees have been with the company for decades.

      Cons

      Their internal processes on some teams are severly dated. Working on their software development team is frustrating because they lack web design expertise.

      Pros

      if you can dodge and happy to be pressured into additional hours nearly all the time, you can pickup some skills. And if location and pay works for you. If you can get a bonus it can be good, and offset some of the unpaid oncall and lots of additional hours. Forcing many back to the office which makes little sense when no one else in team is.

      Cons

      Constant reorg and teams gone overnight and no client support, makes the numerous apps and growing onboards hard to manage. Poor monitoring and devops teams do not hand over, upgrades often mistakes made by non familar teams.
