Pros

- FINRA's mission (to protect the investing public) - Great benefits package - Gain invaluable experience in the financial industry - Majority of co-workers are encouraging and willing to share their knowledge and expertise

Cons

- Little to no advancement opportunities for women/administrative personnel - Poor communication between upper management and staff - Low morale in district offices and little to no attempt on management's part to fix - Blatant favoritism - Very political - A large majority of management has little to no "people"/management skills

Pros

The organization has great benefits. Working in the Corp Headquarters is a better experience than working in a regional office full of individuals in positions of power with grand canyon size egos and very little people skills.

Cons

The only people who get promoted in this region are the individuals who have a good social personal relationships with management...ie...drinking buddies. If you are a hard worker looking to be rewarded for your efforts, don't work in this office. Yes sir mentality....tread with fear if you have an opinion that differs from management

Pros

FINRA's mission to protect investors and maintain integrity of the market. A lot of the people who work there love their job they do. They have the best intentions and approach their work professionally.

Cons

Unfortunately, for too many, once they get into the higher management positions it becomes more about power and maintaining that than encouraging others to reach their potential. There's a lot of self promotion and promotion of friends to support the power base.
