Pros

Access to online training. Good life/work balance in the summer months. Snacks in the office.

Cons

The firm paid me a $4k annual bonus at a mid-senior level, which is ridiculous in this industry. The company also doesn't value its employees - I was laid off due to reduction in headcount right in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak, which left me without insurance and income in such difficult time. I never received any coaching, I had a formal coach, however, he never discussed my performance with me. The company isn't really interested in your development, I was invited to teach financial modeling at an educational center, however, my SMD told me that I should not do that "at my level". No real collaboration between groups and segments, no teamwork. Lack of projects

Pros

Very little pros. Good location and some benefits

Cons

No opportunity for grouth unless you are white. Managers highjack your ideas. HR management don't care about employees welfare. Do not offer competitive salary nor benefits. Low leve management put employees down and harrasment is regular daily routine. Top management don't follow nor care for what is happening with employees. Worst place to work.

Terrible Culture

Pros

The only thing is that when you travel/move to another city/state/country, there's most likely an FTI office there for you to work at

Cons

Lack of empathy and emotional intelligence. Managers yell at their employees and you can literally hear the conversation in the hall way. Too many inflated titles. You have Analysts doing analyst work but called Directors. Makes absolutely no sense. The top executive teams spit fire down middle managements' throats and it passes down to the lower level employees. It is really a toxic environment and people shouldn't be expected to work when they leave the office, on weekends, holidays, etc. If you're not working around the clock, there's no way for you to get your work done. Come here for the experience, but make sure you don't get locked in with contracts and the free snacks.
