Old school company riding on the Cat coat tails

Some good people and decent benefits

Cons

This is not a family company. The family is out of touch with their employees. The Caterpillar reputation and name are not enough to sustain them. Times are changing and Fabick is not in any position to keep up.

Pros

The pay and benefits would be decent if the workload was not so demanding. Would be a good career if expectations were consistent.

Cons

Long hours and very high workload. The higher levels in the company are in their "fourth quarter of their careers" - Doug Fabick's words himself. Change is difficult for them and they are stuck in green screens. The merger has put people in charge that are not in the family business state of mind. You are replaceable and they make sure you know it.
