Pros

Dedicated, smart, caring coworkers, lower management, lots of vacation days, work from home 3 days per week.

Cons

If you work hard and go above and beyond, you get rewarded with more work. Case/work loads are way too high. Stress level is very high. It's difficult to take time off because you still have to get your work done. There are no opportunities to be compensated for doing extra work. When employees quit they dissolve the positions instead of replacing the employees. Little to no communication between the different departments (UM, sales, clinical). Little to no opportunity for promotion.

Pros

Many nice people.

Cons

Tight financial constraints support understaffing leading to chronically very long hours. Lack of diversity among middle management to leadership level staff. Micromanagement of hiring decisions at all levels by CEO create unnecessary rework exacerbating the long hours and negatively impacting leadership and front line staff morale. Corporate culture sometimes seems more about being getting along together than about real accomplishments.

Pros

They promote from within, ability to accrue lots of Earned Time, and community service opportunities. Cannot think of anything else.

Cons

Low morale. Sinking ship - constantly have anxiety that my position will be eliminated. Constant turnover. Too much pressure put on employees and not enough training. No one knows what they are doing and trying to get a straight answer from anyone, especially management, will send you running in ten different directions. Lack of cohesion between departments and the blame game is a common occurrence between departments. CEO spends too much time pointing fingers at certain departments for tiny details when the focus should be on how to save the company as a whole.
