Pros

I have been at Fannie for about 11 months and love that lower levels of staff are valued and have a seat at the table. Pay is great for the industry, benefits like housing allowance and commuter benefits are great. Flexible work culture is added bonus and I don't feel my colleagues and me are overworked.

Cons

Definitely need to encourage young people to get certified through Fannie (such as PMP etc). Fannie has alot of money to give out for happy hours and free food, I feel certifications and learning should be the priority above all this other stuff. Also, too many useless meetings and "process" meetings that can be emails.

Pros

It is a relaxed place

Cons

It is way behind financial industry standards for model risk. It is not a place for a career growth seeking candidates.

Pros

Flexible remote work and extra days off. But not worth it if the living wage is below the poverty level

Cons

No raises prior 2 years. Subpar raise of 3% this past year while inflation is running 9%+ over the past years. There are mass exodus of employees leaving from c-level down to associates for better pay. Dead company that will remain in conservatorship.
