Pros

Laid back Michael Wolfe is the coolest, but he's crazy. Pay is super super good/ good benefits the first day there

Cons

You're 8-5 and if you leave even if you have all of your work done they get mad for leaving at 5.... they literally want you to stay until like 7pm They guilt you if you take a lunch break even if it's for 20 minutes They fire SO many people per month/ no job stability The CEO Brett is a lunatic and will scream curse words, EVERYONE is afraid of him They will fire you if you check your phone High school drama environment, they intimidate you Worst customer service teams, not enough employees and they're not trained.

In most instances, we appreciate postings that are made by former employees – even if critical. However, management strongly disagrees and takes exception to your comments related to Mr. Wolfe (who has not been part of our team since long before your posting), our CEO, and company practices related to work hours, job stability and our customer service team and performance. Our goal has been, and continues to be, to provide our customers with the best service possible.

Pros

They have some really talented and friendly software developers.

Cons

They have a standing policy of doing rounds of layoffs every 6 months. ~ It's a very political environment. ~ They can't build systems to scale at all. ~ They're losing traffic and revenue to vistaprint.com ~ Rather than being completely original they have weekly meetings where they discuss among other things, how they can implement features found on vistaprint.com. ~ They don't license software as they should i.e. they make millions of iText but refuse to license it. ~ They ship off as many jobs as possible to their Russia office in Saratov. ~ I.T. considers transparency as enemy #1 and the Cloud as enemy # 2. ~ Requires people to work 45 to 50 hour weeks, but only credits for things such as accrued vacation based on 40 hour weeks.

We take strong exception to your review, as it misrepresents software development at our subsidiary (Farheap Solutions, Inc. has no software developers), as well as purports to present factual information about the company's business practices, but distorts that information beyond recognition. The company has no policy whatever of "doing rounds of layoffs every 6 months". We do not now have that policy, nor do we ever intend to implement one like it. We do periodically review the performance of all employees, from customer service reps to software developers, and release employees who are not productive or who block the company's progress. The company also prides itself on maintaining software licenses for the software it uses. Since one of our subsidiaries does in fact create and license software, we are sensitive to intellectual property matters and always seek to respect the IP of software providers large and small. Regarding your claims with respect to competitors: Even if you were correct (and you are not), you violate the terms of the NDA you signed upon accepting employment with the software subsidiary of the Farheap group. We can assure other job seekers that this reviewer's claims regarding "failing" business are utterly without merit and baseless. Yes, we did release a few software developers recently, but due to poor performance. In every case, the teams these former employees left are working smarter and more cohesively since the departure of the former devs. We do wish this reviewer the best of luck in finding a company that is better suited to his or her skill sets. Every company has a unique culture. The Farheap culture encourages fun, camaraderie, passionate debate -- and most of all, excellence.

Pros

Paid weekly Learned to use photoshop

Cons

No PTO Not allowed to miss any days No 401K No insurance plans No real ownership Production sucks Managers suck The managers are rude NOTE : The customers ALWAYS call in about defective orders . If there orders don't meet the " defective " standards of the company , we won't compensate them or anything . And we have to get a manager approval to reprint or compensate them . If they don't feel like doing it they will tell you no . Whenever customers call in to complain about things or don't get what they want they ask to speak with a manager , mind you the customers are chewing you out right now and then the managers won't come to the phone they say to schedule a call back the customers get even more mad and they still won't talk to them . The call back periods isn't right away or 2 days later , only when they feel like it . I asked a manager to get on the phone , she told me she had 8 call backs yet she kept getting up and laughing and joking with the other lazy managers . They are a terrible team . And I won't wish this place on my worst enemy !

Your review does not in any way conform to reality. Not only are the benefits you mention standard for our employees, but the company works hard to keep its customers. We did have to get rid of a number of managers and VIP customer service reps in March and April for failure to live up to company standards, and since that time have seen marked improvement in morale and teamwork in our company. The picture you paint, however, was not accurate even before we took those drastic measures. Thank you for your time.
