Pros

Other than the occasional supervisor observations, you are on your own. You manage your work load. Good training program. Opportunities to move about within the company after a few years.

Cons

Farmers uses software and hardware from the 20th century, and it makes being efficient darn near impossible. My opinion is that Farmers doesn't play fair with the body shops - They use their size to their advantage, and the shops have a tendency to let you know it. You are given time on your schedule to take lunch, but you better bring lunch, because if you take your lunch, you'll always be behind.

Pros

Depending on your manager, you may have flexibility in schedule (i.e., work from home partially). The company is overall large and therefore more stable than smaller companies

Cons

Largely dependent on overall manager, you may experience a great deal of micro-managing if this is their preference. The company often goes through changes, due to changes in leadership, which results in changing visions and a whole lot of nothing getting done, affecting the overall bottom line and job security.

The pay was okay but the stress wasn't worth it.

Cons

The workload is unreasonable. Immediate manager harrassed me and HR did not want to hear about it. Performance reviews and salary were negatively impacted by non-objective items which management used as a way to play favorites and strike back against employees they did not favor.
