Pros

not a lot of positives. As management states, " At least I have a job".

Cons

too many people in sales management with very little true sales background.

Pros

• Decent pay • Easy work • Something different everyday, which helps keep boredom away • Almost impossible to get fired/demoted • Individual store management can be amazing

Cons

• Individual stores can vary greatly: A great manager makes for an excellent experience, but a poor manager can make life a living hell • TERRIBLE upper management - it really feels like they're afraid that we're going to go under any day now, so they make grand sweeping changes at the drop of a hat, and then rather than waiting to see if the change is going to help, they just go on to the next thing and change that too. Reminds me of Blockbuster Video (never worked there, but from an outside perspective it seems similar)

Pros

No 2 days are alike.

Cons

Stress level is constanly rising. Where there were 21 employees as Kinko's, there are now 11 with so much more involved. Because we are considered a "Retail" environment, they seem to get away with low pay but expect expertise in all departments of the branch. It used to be a fun place to work as Kinko's and I loved being able to "Wow" the customer and "do whatever it takes to make them happy". Lately I've had to say "No, we aren't allowed to do that anymore" or "I'll have to charge you to do that" for something so friggin' simple. I hate disappointing customers and ultimately losing them. Not really sure who our target audience is anymore. I do not feel valued as a tenured employee who has taken the steps to learn most of the daily operations. I love what I do and do not want to go into management, for fear of boredom and paper pushing, so I've hit a deadend. My job satisfaction comes only from pleasing the few customers I'm allowed to please.
