      Pros

      It is a government job so annual reviews are non-existent and you are on a beautiful campus. Great activities put on by the laboratory. No drug testing.

      Cons

      Low pay with minimal career advancement. Higher degree will be required to advance. Prestige necessary to advance past a certain level.

      Pros

      The cafeteria food is good. The credit union is convenient. Nature at sight is great. Middle management is OK so long as their egos are fed.

      Cons

      No place for people with disabilities. Don't ask questions, as you will be labeled Stupid. Supervisors rip people behind their back, sometimes to their face! Don't expect support from Human Resources, the Anti Harassment Policy is BS! After 20 years, I wasn't given an exit interview. Vulgar harassment through the Email system is prevalent. Good thing I found a real job at twice the pay. DOE needs to step in!

      stress free working environment, helpful coworkers and very strong leadership and vision.

      Cons

      not so clear promotion path, and some lack of promotion path. interdepartment communication can use more work.
