Pros

Giovanni Ferrero purchased the company along with Nestle USA Candy. He will hopefully instill the same operating principles that have made Ferrero candy successful.

Cons

Current management team is the same team from the days of private equity. Also, there is little diversity in the corp office..especially in leadership

Very fast to market Flexible organization - lots of white space opportunity Massive capabilities - capable of attacking voids in the market very aggressively

Cons

Moving very quickly can lead to errors/issues on both new and ongoing items Limited process can be a double edged sword as it can be tough to identify stakeholders early in projects

Excellent culture. While the company has been around a long time, they really have the feel of a new company since they are growing and learning since their merger a few years ago. I worked in Oak Brook and visited many sites, one consistent trait was professionalism. People cared. The C-Level was always approachable and the company is doing an excellent job on building engagement and defining their future.

Cons

As with any place of work, you will have high performers and those who stall projects. Ferrara is no different and you have to make sure people are held accountable for what they are responsible for, and not be concerned that Sal hired them years ago so they get a free pass on execution.
