      Pros

      Some of the smartest people I have ever worked with, many truly care about the customer and doing right by them. The company allows for tremendous growth and mobility, and, over the years, one can build a very rich skillset by working in different areas. Fidelity also has seemingly infinite resources, and invests in research and new ideas. Innovation is rewarded and encouraged.

      Cons

      Fidelity is a relationship company, and decisions are often made based on who is "in good graces" with the current leadership. Often, stakeholders on a project or activity can number in the dozens, and strong opinions are encouraged. Conflict and competition are also encouraged

      Pros

      Benefits are the number one reason people work at Fidelity. The 401k match is 7%, then another 10% in profit sharing in January each year. Its pretty amazing, but understandable since the money goes straight into Fidelity funds. The people are generally good at there jobs and work very hard for the company.

      Cons

      Fidelity will work you to the bone, especially in technology where Senior Management continually picks arbitrary dates for when projects need to be delivered. This causes cramped analysis time and due to the archaic architecture, issues always come up at the last minute.
