Pros

Offers 1st hand lessons in opportunity maximization. Growth opportunities within the company. Opportunity to develop people skills. Decent money for a student.

Cons

One size fits all marketing approach. Cut throat marketing atmosphere. At the end of the day, this job boils down to individual goals: those who meet them are successful, and those who do not either quit under the pressure or are eventually let go. Employee success (promotion hopes) is based on new accounts acquired per month. You will never get off on time. Supervisors have a tendency to micro-manage.

Pros

Fun environment, family oriented, works with school schedule

Cons

Once you hit manager you're pretty much stuck in that position. Since the bank is a smaller bank there are limited positions available above manager. Pay is low for all that has to be done. Predatory selling

Pros

The intranet was very helpfull, promotions were very easy to get, the managers where very friendly all the way up to the regional level. There was alot of incentives.

Cons

Working there involved alot of gossip, alot of unprofessionalism, and it seemed as the criteria for being employed there was kind of low. I dont think the training was the best either but it wasnt the worst although I woudl question some of the knowlege of some of the staff Im guessing because of the high turn over. The health insurance was extemly expensive is not worth the money.
