Pros

Once properly trained, you can help customers figure out loan details and account information. Very good place to network with other companies and allows you to gain knowledge of how a bank operates.

Cons

You work holidays and Sundays with no overtime. Managers do not know how to operate locations accordingly and over work staff with sales quota instead of customer service.

Pros

Working in a support IT department, most departments are very tight-knit groups. The company promotes from within heavily and provides great opportunities to hard workers who don't have much experience. If you are looking for a way to get a foot in the door of the industry and willing to work extremely hard to prove yourself, growth should be no problem. The compensation is great for the area. Most employees stay a long time and most management members are kind, competent, and a pleasure to work with. In the back office most departments place high value on your family and work/life balance.

Cons

The company relies extremely heavily on its personell so once you have proven yourself useful, expect to make high investments of time and responsibility to continue to meet increasingly aggressive expectations. The company is highly reactive so you soend as much time fixing things as preventing issues before they happen. Even very important decisions are often made on the fly at the last minute. Medical benefits are expensive.
