Pros
First Place for Youth has a great mission that many in the organization truly believe in. There's a lot of training opportunities for staff and managers have a lot on their plate but make time for staff. It's very fast paced that doesn't agree with everyone. Very date driven, which again, doesn't work for everyone. The advantage of being data driven is that we're able to see how we're doing in real time. First Place is very flexible, as long as you do your work, no one is clocking your time in or time out. A couple of other pros: 403B match Employees Holiday and summer events are always fun Passionate CEO
Cons
Because First Place is fast paced and data driven, expectations are high. But, if you think about it, we're not working with widgets or a new software system. We are working with one of the most vulnerable populations. So the high expectations for staff are intended for the youth to succeed. There's a lot of change which can be hard to keep track of.
