Pros

Part time hours, could bring my son to work when needed, loved interacting with the students more than coworkers, time off

Cons

Racist and incompetent management at Muskego terminal (they didn't remove the swastika graffiti from my bus until I switched to the Milwaukee terminal); very jealous and insecure female coworkers at the Milwaukee terminal. In hindsight, twas very comical since their many issues had no reflection on me, but at the time it was difficult to work in that trashy, high-school-like environment.

Pros

Some of the kids are great I loved the job at first

Cons

When you pick a route at the beginning it should stay that way not add a bad school and tell you are stuck with it and if you don't like it quit that's not the way you treat your employees

Pros

Outstanding training, probably the best training program available. Great job for people who are retired or just looking for some extra money. Co-workers are generally a nice group of people. Interaction with the kids can be rewarding once you establish the rules on the bus. Constant need for drivers makes it easy to get a job.

Cons

Extra driving hours beyond the minimum are difficult to come by. This is not a job you can count on for steady income beyond the guaranteed 20 hours. Charters don't pay very well. Regular turnover of drivers. There's a daily need to keep track of your own hours. Management will adjust your hours without telling you and cheat you out of minutes each day which can translate to hour(s) on your paychecks. Benefits are not worth consideration.
