Pros

there are a number of departments to move around to within the company.

Cons

Low pay, very hard to advance in this company. The company does not abide or actually follow their values and mission. They overwork their employees.

Is it good to work at FE?

Pros

Your peers can be great and the pay is good as well with great benefits but you still need to pay a little for dental and vision. Good opportunities to jump around departments. Most departments are fully remote with some being hybrid. Plenty of opportunities to learn more and focus on getting your FE and PE license.

Cons

Upper Management is disconnected from its employees. FE cares more about maximizing profits for the share holders by over working its employees and is focused on saying the right things but never doing them. They say they're working hard to hire more but no new employees have come in other than from the rotational program which consists from engineers with less than 2 years experience. Theres corporate rules for pay and salary increases that favor the company and not the employee (for example a market rate increase doesn't increase your salary). With problems from House Bill 6 the employees have been paying the price and the company has focused on saying what people want to hear but not delivering on it.
