      FirstEnergy is a stable electric utility provider where a person can have a lifetime career.

      Pros

      A stable company with a good work-life balance. Benefits are typical for a utility company of this size, however in recent years have been cut back some with the downturn of the economy in 2008.

      Cons

      Employees are overworked and compliance ultimately rules a lot of what we do here. Personal growth is valued by management, but not a guarantee of promotion. Promotion appears to be time based, more than ability-based.
