Beware of the position you work in. Unfortunately work-life balance isn't the same across all positions.
Portfolio Managers/ACMs are pretty over worked and bombarded with angry homeowners (which does come with the territory). I think they could definitely use more bodies to handle portfolios.
If you work on-site or in a different role (accounting, insurance, HR) work-life can be much better and people tend to be happier - but it can have a large influence based on your boss. So make sure you have the same thoughts as they do on OT. I worked in a non-community management role and had great work-life balance and loved my team.
They are growing into a more "national" model so there are a lot of changes and more pressure to do more and more... but I am not sure they are compensating for it.
