They only give you 15 minutes of paid wait time if a client cancels on you (if it is a 4pm client). It was rare when they offered office time instead. So, you don’t get paid for the whole appointment, just 15 minutes worth, and the family doesn’t have consequences (so they keep doing it to you).

The salaries are not as high as other agencies, which can be a deal breaker to some. But a positive, supportive, and nurturing work environment is invaluable in this line of work, which FirstSteps has in spades.
