A culture shift in the wrong direction

Pros

A good stepping stone for IT work. You'll find some excellent co-workers and some of the extracurricular events are actually fun (If you can attend them).

Cons

Things have changed in a not so good way. With the departing of certain managers and a massive restructure of departments, Fit has shifted into a new culture that is negative and reeks of mistrust for their employees. Overturn rate is almost constant, and this is due to this new shift. They talk a big "work hard play hard" game, but if you're stuck as a field tech, you get none of the perks of working in the headquarters off Euclid. Often times, you'll see their social media posts with employees playing games or attending events, but these commodities are not extended to those in the field. In fact, when working in the field, you find many of the commodities almost mocking in a way because you're so behind on work, yet your co-workers have time to play fooseball or ping pong. In many cases, you'll find the number of field techs don't match the client work load, leading to terrible burnout due to coverage, or even quitting due to lack of support and training when first hired. C-Suite are blind and unwilling to compromise with employees, so it just fuels the fire.

Thank you for sharing your feedback – we take it seriously and appreciate your honesty. We’re grateful when current or former team members take time to reflect on their experiences. And sometimes it is not easy to read, but it is important that we hear it. If you shared these concerns in your Exit Survey or Suggestion Box, thank you. We review every submission, and our HR team aggregates and presents that feedback to leadership for visibility and action. We also look at trends from Annual Reviews, Quarterly conversations, and client feedback to learn what needs attention, and where we need to focus improvements. We hear your concerns about burnout, and the differences in experience between field-based and HQ-based employees. Our goal is for every team member, regardless of role or location, feel valued, supported, and included. We also understand how some recent changes, such as the least-privileged access policy, may have felt like a loss of trust rather than a necessary move toward improved security. Protocol changes occur in every workplace, but we will work to implement them in ways that are well-communicated. As for social events – those are meant to build connection with our coworkers. not exclude. We know timing of projects or priorities may make that difficult on a particular day, so we offer these at different times and days of the week, in the hopes of engaging the most people. For those still tuned in: we’re listening. We are dedicated to becoming a better place to work, and feedback like this is part of that process.
