Pros

Benefits were reliable though expensive. Convenient to work from home. Some of the accounts are actually fun to work and have good people and products,

Cons

Horrible pay, it's demeaning and devaluing the low raises you will get . They do not value you. People with years of experience, reliable, and do a great job. They do not treat you as a person. You are a metric. It is depressing, discouraging. They talk to you like you are a three year old and though they say they have an open door policy they don't. Manager told us not to ask about when we will get commission or how much. We lived off that as the base pay was so low and unlivable. I also asked several times for a higher increase when advising it was an unlivable raise. was told. "go get a second job if you want to make more" and "no one is perfect" but gave no feed back as to how to do better because they said I was already doing very well.. ???? Then why such low raises? I asked for a face to face meeting after I got one low raise, I was told , they couldn't afford to take me off the phones for that.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your many years of service with Five Star. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your time with us left you feeling unvalued and discouraged, as that is never the experience we want for our team members. We appreciate your recognition of the reliability of our benefits, our work-from-home opportunities, and the positive relationships you experienced with some of the clients and colleagues you worked alongside. We also take concerns regarding compensation, recognition, communication, and leadership interactions seriously. While compensation structures vary by program, position, and client requirements, we strive to offer competitive pay and transparent opportunities for growth. We also publicly post compensation information for positions whenever applicable, so candidates and employees have visibility into pay ranges and opportunities. We are particularly disappointed to hear your concerns regarding how feedback, pay discussions, and career conversations were handled. Every employee deserves to be treated with professionalism and respect, and we recognize the importance of making employees feel heard and valued. We continuously evaluate our programs, leadership development, recognition efforts, and compensation practices to ensure we are creating a positive employee experience. Feedback such as yours helps us identify areas where we can improve, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective. We sincerely thank you for the contributions you made during your tenure with Five Star and wish you the very best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Remote is the only pro two of my managers were great but the last one I had was not.

Cons

Management was very unprofessional at my last month there. There was no room to grow or move up and no pay raises as they moved you from account to account. I did ask my manager how i could improve my raises and the only response was post more in teams chat. - NO room for growth very little pay for what you do. The third issue would be my last manager at the end. She first stated she was just out of training to be a manager when she in fact was not out of training to which she confessed and probably forgot at the end of my time here. The fourth would be that holidays you have to use your PTO.
