Pros

Compassionate people who are here because they want make a difference. You're allowed to make mistakes and everyone is invested in helping you grow. CEOs are very transparent and communicate often. Lots of great perks: free food, beer on tap, trivia nights, game nights, unlimited PTO, etc.

Cons

Day to day you’re exposed to a ton of info about clinical trials, data abstraction, drugs & treatment, etc. You’ll learn something new every day, but if you’re not interested in cancer research or health-tech, this is probably not the place for you.

Pros

My favorite thing about Flatiron Health is that the company has a great set of values, and it uses these values to guide all of its decisions. Flatiron cares about kindness, seeking and giving feedback, being self-critical, and many other things. I have observed these values translate into transparency, regular revision of processes, and an openness with employees and clients alike.

Cons

I honestly don't have much to say about why Flatiron Health isn't good. Flatiron is a growing company, and has hit a few bumps scaling the organization and the way that teams coordinate, but none of these have changed my opinion of the company.

Pros

They provide lap top and training. All work performed remotely.

Cons

This is production work. If you have to step away from computer for a bathroom break, you are off the clock. Work is challenging. You must pass tests which may require hours to take in order to abstract on modules. No room for error. Employees are terminated for failing performance quality checks and may not be given second chance. Part time abstractors do not have a direct supervisor.
