Pros

Fairly nice extra money for 10 hours a week. Still below what should be compensated.

Cons

You are a number and you should never make mistakes on evaluation. Instead of learning from them to improve your quarterly scorecard they use them as ways to eliminate people. Their hiring process is ridiculous and honestly if you want to remain in good standing do not try doing this with a full time job, a family, and any sort of life. They expect you to remember everything while abstracting (though you may be certified to abstract in a multitude of modules) and never miss anything. Anyone in a manager position or so forth, is not very friendly and just cold. Their responses to questions are... review the policies and procedures. Instead of something that could help someone to better understand.

Pros

In the beginning, before being purchased by Roche, this was a very friendly company. It was compassionate and seemed to be on the right track, which made it unique.

Cons

The management team is pretty clueless AND ruthless. The criticism listed in other review is legitimate. In my opinion, it is a big mistake to prop young, inexperienced people in HR and management positions.

Pros

Very transparent company culture with a big emphasis on cross disciplinary collaboration, which in practice means I always have a lot of context, know what's going on the company, and have more ability to grow my career/skill set by figuring out what types of problems we will need to solve in the future and taking initiative to move in that direction early. Surprisingly good work-life balance for a startup. Plus, of course it's exciting that I have stock options in a company that is clearly going places!

Cons

Really tough to think of cons, but I would say that if my biggest motivation were pure cash compensation, I could probably get a little more elsewhere. High volume of hiring has made it a little bit tough to book conference rooms at the moment (although we are looking to move to a larger office soon).
