Pros

Flexera has a professional working atmosphere; is entrepreneurial and competitive

Cons

Flexera is a growing software (private equity) company, but mainly driven by inorganic growth through acquiring companies. Especially the software monetization businees were suffering and major layoffs in California and Europe occured in 2018. Customers became very unsatisfied and bug backlogs touched the ceiling. The culture became unbearably toxic. Focus is more on reducing cost of sales and cutting budgets. In general Flexera has a poor self-serving management culture. If you are looking for a working place with room for personal growth - don't work there.

100% agree that the working environment is entrepreneurial - and that's a good thing. And thank you for the advise to be more visionary, and trustworthy -- every company can benefit from a continued focus on that.

Fast paced and exciting!

Pros

Returned from our annual Kick Off event and I am excited about the year ahead. Refreshed focus on customer experience and success, strong inspiring leadership, new products which differentiate ourselves from the competition and a workplace that is fun to show up to every day.

Cons

The recent rate of change within the organisation could be difficult for some to keep pace with however if you ride the wave and embrace the opportunities that change brings you will do well. Employees are encouraged to set development goals and discuss career planning however actual opportunities to advance your career (promotions) few and far between.

Thank you for taking the time -- you are 100% correct that the pace is fast, but we always say "you do you", meaning, you have autonomy to set your development goals and be proactive in your career.

Great place to work, until it isn't.

Pros

Individuals across the board are amazing to work with. Easy to find positive attributes in any coworker. Opportunities for fun and laughter every day.

Cons

Staffing changes come at you like a guillotine. People doing amazing work can be there one day and gone the next. If they aren't replaced you are expected to pick up the slack. Leaves you wondering the reasoning why and feeling insecure.
