Pros
- great benefits (unlimited PTO, new laptop, monitor, desk, etc) - fun, smart, young team - pretty good and caring managers -OT if you're a specialist -team bonding every quarter (low budget though and dependent on your manager being fun) -ability to change things that don't work -potential for projects and to work cross-functionally -there will be a hybrid 2-3 days a week you have to go in when the office opens -not terrible pay but it's very low for the cost of living in southern california
Cons
-have to work some weekends and some holidays -no 401k matching -this company talks a lot about IPO but that will take a while to get there -RSU payout is on 4 yr vesting cycle FYI -plan on consistently working 50-60 hrs a week -not a lot of job movement upward or to other departments (they make you stay a year to consider moving to another dept internally and usually a year to year and a half for promotion) -people usually only stay around a yr in SCO for a reason and the people who stay are pretty complacent -the roles between a specialist, associate, and senior associate are not defined clearly
