Pros

good team and good company vision

Cons

salaries are very low for anyone other than software engineers it seems. salary is under 50k and pay for different members on the same team have over a 20k difference. bad pay equality. want everyone to go back to the office even though no one on my team works in my location, so I could save the hour commute if i'm just going to be video chatting everyone anyways.

Pros

The average age of the company was very young - felt like ~25 - and senior leadership took the opinions of even very junior people seriously. If you are ambitious and able to play politics, you can rise in the ranks and win opportunities even if you have very little experience. It felt like I had more growth opportunities, especially lateral growth opportunities, than my peers at other tech companies.

Cons

Incredibly toxic work environment that may destroy your self-esteem if you don't have insane levels of self-confidence. Senior leadership team that is completely divorced from reality and not able to hire good leadership.

Pros

- You get to work with smart and ambitious folks. - Many opportunities to grow soft skills that are transferable to other roles outside of Flexport. - Great place to work for 1-2 years to gain career experience.

Cons

- Bro culture. The folks who are fast tracked are the most bro folks (both male and female). Constructive feedback provided about managers goes into a black hole. - No real innovation. Flexport markets very well as an automated platform, however the work behind the scenes is very manual. - Lower base pay but high bonus % in a non-sales role. - Your trajectory is great if you follow a manager who loves you, otherwise…
