Pros

If you're new to the industry, you can gain experience quickly.

Cons

This is easily the most stressful and dysfunctional environment I have ever worked in. The company has a number of glaring issues including: 1. Lack of Clear Communication: Employees have no understanding of the organization's top project priorities. Ask 10 employees, and you'll likely get 10 different answers. This level of misalignment is unacceptable, especially at a small company. 2. Nepotism and Lack of Expertise: A significant portion of the top management consists of close friends with minimal industry experience outside this organization. Employees often feel that leadership lacks the knowledge and skills necessary to drive the company forward. There's an established “boys club” culture that discourages transparency and punishes employees for addressing the company’s issues. Many experienced and competent individuals have been let go for voicing concerns, with vague justifications like “not a good culture fit.” This creates a culture of fear and discourages honest dialogue. Advancement in this company depends more on being agreeable than on qualifications or performance. 3. Unrealistic Deadlines: The company frequently sets overly ambitious deadlines that are clearly unachievable. This leads to rushed work, subpar results, burnout, and little meaningful progress. As a result, employees tend to disregard deadlines since they are rarely tied to successful outcomes. 4. Bureaucracy in a Startup: Although the company identifies as a “startup”—even after more than a decade—basic tasks often take weeks to complete due to every decision requiring CEO approval and the use of unnecessarily complex systems. Additionally, the organization struggles to make critical decisions that impact its direction, leaving many projects stuck in limbo and negatively affecting morale. The remote work policy requires employees to submit their "daily workplan" outlining the tasks they will accomplish that day. This workplan has to receive HR, manager, and CEO approval. Conclusion: If you value your mental health, want to work under competent leadership, and aim to advance your career, you’re better off seeking opportunities elsewhere.

Pros

Company is currently in a very fast pace growing phase with tons of opportunities for growth.

Cons

Too many younger employees who need a bit of direction. Whoever the company did a great job acknowledging this and is now offering leadership courses
