Pros

Fluxergy is developing a product that will fill a void in the point-of-care diagnostic space. As they are developing these products, they are in a race against other startups or current players in the market attempting to accomplish the same thing. With this in mind, things move quickly. This creates an opportunity for anyone who can create solutions without much guidance. Fluxergy is a great place to advance your career if you are a self-starter. This is not a place to "coast" and get scheduled raises/promotions, but if you are ambitious and want to see the company succeed, you will also see yourself succeed.

Cons

Not much guidance for those who prefer to be told solutions (heavy focus on R&D). Fast pace work environment.

Pros

Benefits are alright. We get a free lunch once a month.

Cons

If you’re considering working here, proceed with caution. While the company’s technology has promise, the work environment raises significant concerns. Layoffs are frequent and often come with little to no warning, creating a culture of fear and instability. I’ve seen colleagues laid off shortly after being hired, and others let go with minimal explanation. The lack of transparency in these decisions has made it hard to trust leadership. The company seems overly reliant on funding from a personal connection—a billionaire friend of the founders—rather than on sustainable business practices. This creates an uneasy dynamic where long-term stability feels like a gamble rather than a certainty. Diversity is also a glaring issue. Leadership is overwhelmingly male, and it often feels like promotions and hires are based on personal connections rather than merit. This ‘boys’ club’ atmosphere makes it hard to feel like you have a fair shot if you’re not part of the inner circle. Ultimately, while there are learning opportunities here, the high turnover and lack of a clear, stable direction make this a risky place to build your career. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values job security or a supportive work environment.
