Good pay but

Pros

Offered a competitive salary. Hybrid work

Cons

The never-ending overtime is killing me. There's no way to maintain a healthy work-life balance at this rate. I'm worried about burnout, and I know the quality of my work is starting to suffer.

Environment where no one can thrive

Pros

Previous pros would be: work from home and flexible work hours (leadership stated 3 months ago there would be no return to office policy and then last week rolled out a return to office policy effective in less than a month) and a social culture (huge layoffs and the remaining good people either quitting or planning to quit has shifted the social element of work a good bit)

Cons

Leadership cannot maintain goals or values consistently for more than a month. Leadership cannot make promises with things related to work/life balance, salary, titles/promotions, company direction, organization structure etc. and actually keep them. Leadership has consistently lacked all communication skills and any transparency. Salary increases across the company are expected to fall below inflation and have taken several months to actually hit employee paychecks (as of posting this, they still haven't) while the company was able to 1. pay for most members of leadership to travel US, Europe, and Asia 2. pay for a full page print ad campaign in the NY Times (we're an online marketing company?) 3. pay for a a custom beer in our company name at a brewery local to one singular office. Benefits like medical, 401k, and stock options has been an absolute nightmare. HR struggles to do the bare minimum of their job and are terrible at communicating. From the top down, this people management team lacks all accountability. I would not recommend this company as a place to work at this time.

Pros

Fantastic entry level position - some roles don't need a college degree! Management is responsive, highly attuned and skilled. Company is very competitive in the digital advertising space leading to it being acquired by Omnicom! Unlimited PTO

Cons

Poor average salary for this position, relative to the market. Finance Team has loosely-based structure with almost unclear direction from an almost clean-sweep of senior leadership leaving the company or "resigning". Management is constantly driving narrative of innovation and new ideas however this appears to be an effort to appease shareholders with the best moves for the value of the company instead of treating the employees as valuable assets to improve retention.
