Pros
You wouldn't think detecting out of stocks is that hard of a problem, but it is actually very difficult. The real world is very messy. You have to think through every different situation and that makes the problems fun and difficult. I really like the challenge.
Cons
Edge cases.... product pushers, peg hooks, produce area, fridges with frost, your algorithms will have to handle each of these cases to hit your accuracy targets!
