After being with the company for years the only thing good is competitive management pay.

Cons

Upper management and corporate is full of creepy men, HR is a joke with this company unless you utilize a third party, management pool is awful.

Greedy Company

Pros

There aren't many pros to working for this company. I chose to come here to get off the road and be closer to home and that is really the only pro.

Cons

Horrible labor model - literally the worse I've ever seen and I've done work for a lot grocery chains. They have unrealistic expectations. What makes it worse is the lip service about how much they care about their employees and customers but refuse to see how their labor model is a huge disservice to both. They want mostly PT employees - This makes it hard to retain good employees and if someone is out you are just screwed because most of the employees have second jobs. They refuse to put Food Lion first (and I dont blame them) because Food Lion doesnt care about them unless they are in a bind. When morale is down they just throw some pizza at you like you're a child and think that somehow makes it better. They dont even offer an employee discount like every other chain does. Warehouse isn't held accountable - they can short you a couple hundred dollars of product every day and you dont receive credit. You are forced to zero it out and watch your accrual plummet and then when you fail inventory due to that they want to point fingers at you and ignore the problem at hand. Company values are the complete opposite of what they preach - Your CBTs have you thinking that you just joined a fantastic company but you soon realize that its all lip service and they dont actually follow what they preach. None of us feel heard or respected.
