      Pros

      Our customers are great. I really enjoy working with my fellow associates. It's a pay check. People have to eat.

      Cons

      Very little respect from store management. Even less respect from upper management. Our manager is a morale killer. The best solution for struggling associates seems to be " work harder", or "move faster". Never enough help in the store. After 15 months of employment, when i look at my career, all I see is a trail of broken promises and lies. Respect for the individual, Food Lion does not understand that concept. Very low pay, even for over qualified applicants. Really respect and care for the customers, and stop giving them lip service. I've watched our dept. managers get hammered over things they cannot control. Raises??????? LOL. Training????LMAO. The one thing our manager does do well is waste my time. Also she should hold herself to the same standards she tries to hold everyone else to. Our manager needs to review our company's attendance policies and apply them to herself.

      Time off and extremely low wages

      Pros

      Very good about time off, very friendly customers, good sense of community. Clean and comfortable store. Very easy to get hired and rehired.

      Cons

      Pay rate is extremely bad, just barely above min. wage. I have worked here, due to location, only 5 minutes from home, for the entire time this store has been open ( July 2009 ) went over a year before my first review, I was given an excellent in every case, but no mention of any kind of raise. It's almost as if the subject is fobidden. I am looking elsewhere for employment, but jobs are not easy to find. Hours are hard to come by, payroll is constantly being cut, I am part time, full time at my location is not in the picture

      *there are friendly customers *you work with some friendly co-workers *you have very flexible schelduleing *the part time associates recive one week paid vacation *it is a very stable job

      Cons

      *the pay is horrible....two years and im making 7.50 *horrible bonus's, there raises are JOKES 1%= HAHAHA *the hours worked per week are always changing for part timers *there is way to much gossip *there are plenty of two-faced people
