      A very mixed up company to work for!

      Pros

      Flexible hours. Get to meet a lot of very interesting people. While the corporate management can leave a lot to be desired, I got to know some of the nicest co-workers at the store level that I have ever had the honor and privilege to know.

      Cons

      Low pay and hours can vary from week to week. Corporate management does not care at all about the hourly employee's at the stores or even for that matter, the management at the store level. Company presents a family friendly atmosphere but company only cares about their bottom line and will dispense with entire stores and their staff with no thought of how that will effect the family's of those who they let go. Little to no room for advancement. It is a who you know, rather that what you do, kind of company.

      District Management: Needs improvement.

      Pros

      Management recognized my personal ability and skill, helpful when I had a family emergency. Some associates were well-trained and willing to work. HR had training programs for associates and management to participate in.

      Cons

      Pay is very poor. Benefits, such as vacation or holiday pay, for part-time management are non existent. District management and other corporate visits were a nightmare. Corporate officials did not want any feedback from store employees: they were only there to criticize.

      Time off and extremely low wages

      Pros

      Very good about time off, very friendly customers, good sense of community. Clean and comfortable store. Very easy to get hired and rehired.

      Cons

      Pay rate is extremely bad, just barely above min. wage. I have worked here, due to location, only 5 minutes from home, for the entire time this store has been open ( July 2009 ) went over a year before my first review, I was given an excellent in every case, but no mention of any kind of raise. It's almost as if the subject is fobidden. I am looking elsewhere for employment, but jobs are not easy to find. Hours are hard to come by, payroll is constantly being cut, I am part time, full time at my location is not in the picture
