Pros

Non-management staff are great. Miss the people there.

Cons

Upper management is very fake! Claims to care about employees, but they don't act like it. Lie about how much they contribute to benefits. Stay away!

Pros

As with most companies, the potential to meet great friends and colleagues inside the company, and outside with associated companies. Reduced price orthotics and occasionally returned shoes are available for purchase. When one does leave, it's like coming out of the fog. It is truly remarkable to see every person who has left, or was made to leave. The blinders fall off, confidence is restored, and they bloom, once they leave Foot Levelers. It's encouraging to see the transformation.

Cons

Cons, or facts... -There is a reason, in the interview and orientation, that it will not be clear about benefits, profit sharing, schedule flexibility, and even the job description. -Interviews are short- sometimes there is no second interview. This is not a sign of how a great company would hire/fire, no matter where the interview is. -Sexism- and reverse sexism, which is still sexism, abounds. -Expect to handle the job like a manager but not get paid for it. Not in the short term or long term. -Management talks about their #1 customers like they are second class citizens and is actively looking at how to shift away from their professional relationship with them and go direct to consumer. All without considering the fate of the current employee's livelihood. -Be wary of everybody! Even the friendliest people who have been there forever- are all so worried about losing their job at the drop of a hat and they are all in survival mode- it is so unhealthy, and sad. This really is the worst part, and could easily be fixed with a leadership mentoring program for the current management, or new management who can lead- not just manage. Workers with no education, experience, or merit receive accolades and promotions- it is announced in front of everyone as a "family". And, simultaneously, vetted senior management that the entire international community associated with chiropractic and Foot Levelers reveres, gets reduced to hourly worker levels- or just simply disappears- quietly. This is all done by the same handful of executives. The bonuses, gifts, and "company trip" that once were touted as benefits are no longer- yet they are still talked about, but they're extinct.
