Pros

everything from the company ownership, to the mission of the company, to the products they sell, to the middle management. I've had nothing but positive experiences at FWM.

Cons

Some Engineering jobs at FWM, namely Process Engineering, is a little all over the place. Some days feel like doing nothing besides other peoples' jobs. Inspecting, quality assurance, going through raw material records, and at times designing machine parts. The change is enjoyable and keeps it interesting, but the job description of Process Engineer at this company does no justice to the amount of burners you're constantly tending to.

Pros

- Family-owned with a strong cultural emphasis. -The owner genuinely cares about the employees. - Opportunities for career advancement, especially for shop floor employees. - Good work/life balance.

Cons

- The company lacks a clear strategic vision for engineering and industrial operations. - Inadequate software systems and processes for engineering roles. -The family-owned nature and long-tenured employees provide stability but also lead to resistance to change. - There's a noticeable gap between what the leadership professes and their actual behavior.

Pros

Great leadership and coworkers. Constantly growing, lots of opportunities for advancement. Interesting learning about all the materials and products that are used/made with the work being done.

Cons

There aren't that many cons. The factory work can get boring and repetitive just like anywhere else but it's decent pay for the work.
