Pros

Free Coffee and Hot Chocolate Some Employees were a Pleasure to Work With Flexible Hours Available Overtime Opportunities (When available)

Cons

The Lowest Paid Time Off Rate I ever Received Disorganized Facility Coffee Was Gross Treatment of Employees Led to Low Morale Frequent Inconsistencies led to Massive Turnover Questionable Hiring Practices Ridiculously Low Wages for all the Work required for almost all employees "Bait and Switch" approach post hiring (they did this twice!) Overtime is almost mandatory to bring home subpar check Invasive Security Checks Terrible Attendance Policy Practically glued to your seat Absolutely Condescending Customers Brand New Facility, constantly having issues with hardware and software No HR Department, literally just a computer, phone number, and a fax machine. Feeling of Hopelessness some days due to a lack of floorwalkers, coaches, etc

Pros

There are raises for the first two years, after that there are no more raises. There are advancement opportunities, if you are popular with the management team.

Cons

They add more and more work, with no raises. There is no recognition for going out of your way to help out. Schedule change every four months. Employee's with medical notes from doctors, can keep there schedules to fit their needs. Desk and keyboards are very dirty. When it rains, there are several major roof leaks. There are not enough working microwaves. They kick you down a lot more then praise you. They hire managers that have been terminated from other employers and it shows.

Thank you for your feedback! I just wanted to take the time to address some concerns that you have brought to the table. Sitel is an outsourced company as such raises are determined per client contract. As of April 1st every associate received a $2.00 raise on top of the already scheduled raises. I also do not know many companies that are willing to give 4 raises with in the first year of employment. I for one am thankful for this. Advancement is not a popularity contest. Decisions are made based on individuals dedication, performance, willingness to be a team player, previous history etc. The application process is set up to go through the HR team initially and trickles down to direct supervisors. Advancement opportunities may seem difficult to accomplish because the competition is fierce! We have already given 60 advancements this year alone and that does include those that were willing to go with paid relocation to our sister sites. As for recognition there are several programs set in motion to provide recognition but one should be dedicated with a positive attitude and one will receive much more. The first is the "Director All Stars", There are also rewards for good MSATs, as well as Metrics ribbons to be displayed on your lanyard. Not only that but this company goes above and beyond to provide plenty of merchandise freebies (bags, sunglasses, pens, photo holders, water bottles, cake (every month for birthday celebrations)candy, weekend meals etc...) on a regular basis. I have worked with Sitel for over 2 years and not once have I noticed a roof leak. If you can point out where they are I would be happy to get that addressed. There are 4 working microwaves in the cafeteria at any given time. The majority of the time people do use the Sitel provided vendor. (The tacos today were delicious!) When supervisors do provide feedback consider they are constructing you to be successful at your job! Having been a supervisor I know for a fact that praise and recognition are just as important as constructive criticism, but also being an agent it is a different perspective. It is much easier to say from the agents perspective that, "All they say is what I have done wrong." Next time you go in for your one on one please try and pay attention for your own sake to what they recognize in you. If it really is never anything take a look at applying the feedback given. I only know of 2 managers that were hired in from outside of the company. Most of the managers start at agent status and work their way up the ladder by dedication (Hence another reason 60 promotions in a years time. People can move up if their passion and desire is voiced and applied). Even our site director started as an agent and with in 5 years has established his seat at the head. I certainly hope this explains some of the frustration and gives you an alternative and more positive perspective on the company.

Pros

- Decent hourly pay for a student, a retiree, or entry level worker - Guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours a week PLUS mandatory overtime (so you get plenty of hours - After working there 6 months you get 2.08 hours of PTO with every check, biweekly. - Very straightforward and simple task-oriented work. Calls were scripted or had policies that provided support for lack of scripting. Mostly escalations. - Lots of potlucks. Lots of company-funded barbecues. Lots of company money being spent on hotdogs and hamburgers, and people being paid twice as much as regular agents to sit there all day and hand out these company-bought food items that usually go to waste. But still, free stuff. - Coworkers were the best. Due to the negative nature of our calls and the stress of maintaining metrics, we would form rightly-knit friendships and complain about calls/blow off steam while on smoke breaks. - Amazing self-serve vending area. It's like a gas station and the Walmart self-check had a baby. Way overpriced though but used it frequently. - If you got good quality, never ever ever left your seat even if you were vomitting (hold a trash can off to the side) then you will be left alone and given little certificates each month to tape on your desk-of-the-day. - The company itself was great, just not my particular campaign.

Cons

- Worked for PSCU Financial as an MSR under Sitel and would handle back-to-back calls of utterly psychotic, snotty, and overall awful callers. The callers were the worse part of the job. We were punching bags for thousands of credit unions and we couldn't even hang up on belligerent callers and literally had to sit there and take the abuse. - Employees treated like numbers. Tenure and hard work meant nothing. I saw people who had worked for this Sitel under many different campaigns for *a decade* who would eventually snap and either rage quit or finally defend themselves against the hostile callers which of course meant immediate termination. People who loved working for Sitel and had their kids work there were suddenly micromanaged and treated like unworthy employees by PSCU. Our managers acted unethically to 'keep the campaign' even though it was soulsucking - SO much micromanagement. Had to compulsively check my stats each day to make sure I wasn't going to get fired that day, and I know of so many other cases like this. If you have human beings willing to at least do their best and show up to work, let some numbers slide. - Had OMs, coaches, CTTs, and mentors who ran the place like a salt mine. The agents would all be bunched up in the middle of the room taking calls back to back and handling very stressful calls and then there would be a stupid amount of management mostly sitting around at computers or out back snoking. Overt favoritism was shown with promotion. Anyone in a position of power suddenly found themselves to be very important and became lethargic, because hey, no more adherence to worry about for them. - A perfect example of evil capitalism
