Cons

Well this is what our respectable senior management is upto dear co-workers. During multiple forums and town hall, the company has been seeking support to work together as one group and continue to keep the faith in company since the times are difficult. But what people, are getting in return, and now I also have observed/heard in the past few days is nothing less than a treachery. For some reason the management is on the way to allocating esops behind the doors or under the table, whatever you want to call it. Why is that pathetic: -Not because of the loss of money for people who are not getting it, but how company can take you for a ride when you turn up to the office on a daily basis with utmost sincerity and try giving your best at the work. I always trusted company to the core and was sure that whatever happens will be very fair. How on this planet company decided to give away the esops this way? I am almost shaken to consume this -People, the top management, who use to preach all values on the floor are themselves the culprits. It teaches me another lesson - not to trust anyone blindly. The mistake which I have definitely committed over here. When the times were difficult I saw myself and team members working upto 14-15 hours a day to get out of the situation. This has been rewarded in a way which was unthinkable - This boils me up every time it crosses my mind. Last appraisal I had raised a question on it and I was given a complete assurance the announcement would be made whenever it happens - I am almost sure, the rationale would be that it is being rewarded to "best of the best". That again is a false claim. If the beneficiaries can be distinguished clearly then why there is a need to keep it under wraps. This itself makes it clear that allocation is not on merit purely and is arguable Who's to blame - Not sure about the non-india locations but clearly the respective exec members who are on bond-kinda mission in Mumbai/Gurgaon. I repeat - I am not disappointed by my loss but for the other reasons (mentioned above). And please stop covering up for such things with things like family day functions. First start respecting employees and then think about the families. I withdraw my and my family from the function - just wondering how to stand even day to day work now.

Fractal Response
10y
Hi there, As I have explained in my previous response on Glassdoor, the ESOP issuance hasn't been completed yet. In fact, ESOPs have been issued only at a certain level of seniority for the moment. The entire exercise will be completed by end of August. See my earlier response: Hi, I clarified in our townhall discussion that we are in the process of allocating some additional ESOPs to very select people (based on seniority, performance, potential and role) within Fractal. The process is ongoing and not yet complete. We are radically transparent in discussing Fractal information within our company but please don't expect a full justification for who received how many ESOPs and why. This is discretionary and guided overall by Pranay/Srikanth (with help from rest of the senior leadership team).....
