Depends Upon Your Supervisor
Pros
- Depending upon your supervisor, it could be a great or really bad working experience. I was fortunate to work under an amazing attorney who had reasonable expectations, was very personable (while respectful and professional), communicative, and served as a true mentor while I was considering applying to law school. - I was also fortunate to work in the particular office that I did, which had an overall relaxed and friendly culture. I had contact with employees from other offices, and their cultures were very different from ours. - Overtime for Legal Assistants was discouraged (and the amount of work I had could fit within normal work hours).
Cons
- I also had friends who absolutely hated working at Fragomen because they worked under attorneys who didn't know how to manage properly. - The pay is not that great
