Pros

It's a job and provides (very minimal) pay

Cons

This place is awful - do NOT work here. You will receive no training and no communication from management because the entire organization is so understaffed and overworked that no one has time for you. You will be given an unmanagable case log, and when you inevitably fail to meet impossible deadlines, foreign nationals and managers alike will berate you. You will always be working and your inbox will fill you with dread. It is incredibly difficult to be promoted or get a raise for any reason.

Pros

Great people, but many of them end up leaving. Lots of resources thanks to the Goliath nature of the firm.

Cons

Overworked - there are too many cases and not enough people. High turnover - no one wants to be a part of a sinking ship. No mentorship - no one has time to talk to you, let alone mentor a new attorney. Negative environment - everyone seems so disgruntled by the heavy workload. Run by paralegals. Senior management (paralegals) like to give legal advice to clients and ignore attorney's strategies, and this is somehow allowed. Partners are too busy to care about this growing problem, and let the senior management reign.

Pros

once someone gets to a certain/senior level, compared to other companies like BAL, yes, the pay is higher. compared to top 100 am law firms in the NYC area, not so much.

Cons

- managing attorneys who have cared about the non-atty workers have all left - workloads extremely high. very difficult to have work-life balance - client fees are so low that it's difficult to make a profit. -SLA/client response times are difficult meet, given the 1000+ population each person manages -not human/sympathetic senior leadership. many passive aggressive leadership here. -complaints to HR have fallen on deaf ears. - many many people who are great workers/colleagues have left, and not for money.
